Welcome to 2015!

It's finally 2015. I've been speaking with a large number of people today and a lot of people are telling me 2014 was a horrible year. It was hard, everything bad that could have happened did happen. Things started out bad and just went downhill. Some optimistic folks say that there were some good moments, but for a good portion of the year, it was spent downgrading in some way shape or form in life. I have yet to hear someone say that 2014 was the most amazing year ever. Mostly, people are just tired of the year.

Good news, 2015 brings in a clean slate and brand new beginnings. I'm excited for it. I don't have large expectations this year, my main goal is just for a better year than last year. Going into the new year today, the only things I can think about is putting myself in a better place than I am now. My hope is that I will be able to successfully purchase my first home, by myself and on my own. I have already began the process of contacting several advisors and almost have a loan in place. So this is almost definitely a possibility.

My next goal - and also a very important one - is a goal that I make every year. This year I have additional motivations. This is the year that I turn 21 (in exactly one month, one week, and 6 days to be exact), so I am extra into the fitness. I want to be a fit adult. What's also different here, is that I have my gym membership in place, and instead of making a specific goal of how much weight I want to lose by -insert amount of time- I'm just wanting to increase my commitment to a gym. Instead I am wanting to make a goal of attending a Zumba Fitness class at least twice a week. Two years ago I was actually able to successfully drop 40 pounds just over the course of one fall semester of school doing Zumba, so I know this is something that will work for me.

The next thing that I'm looking to accomplish this year, is I want to get at least one book published this year. Right now I'm struggling a little bit in the inspiration category of writing. I'm dabbling in about three different novel projects right now, and can't seems to get into writing any of them. But hopefully by the end of this shiny new year, I'll be back on the writing track and regularly writing again.

That's pretty much it. Fitness. New house. New novel. Those are my goals. Small goals that I know are very attainable. What are your goals for the new year?
